Visiting US secretary of state, Mr John Kerryon Tuesdaymet with religious leaders in the ancient city of Sokoto and expressed his support in their efforts to promote peace and tolerance.
Kerry had earlier met with the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Saad Abubakar III before meeting the religious leaders.
