NCPC Boss Advocates For More Private Pilgrimage Operators In Nigeria

The Executive Secretary Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Rev Tor Uja has advocated for more private pilgrimage operator in Nigeria saying hewould want more and more of them to emerge in the country.

He disclosed this in Abuja recently while playing hostto the Chairperson of the Governing Council of Yahweh Our Redeemer Sabbath Synagogue, Owerri, Hon. Justice Chino Onii Egbunine who paid him a courtesy visit.

He assured the would-be Private Christian Pilgrimage Operator (PCPO)  that the Commission would continue to encourage the activities of the PCPO so that they would be able to function optimally.

He announced that the Commission would change the annual renewal licence of Private Christian Pilgrimage Operators to two years so that the Operators would be encouraged to put in their best and have the capacity to meet up their targets.

The NCPC helmsman affirmed that his three major goals in NCPC would be to make Pilgrimage spiritually fulfilling, to build a programme that would help to build a nationalistic goals and making the pilgrimage to be more productive to serve the countrybetter.

He disclosed that the Commission intends to hold all Private Christian Pilgrimage Operators’ conference in Abuja by October, 2016.

Earlier, the Chairperson Governing Council of Yahweh Our Redeemer Sabbath Synagogue, Hon. Justice Chino Onii Egbunine informed that they were in NCPC to partner with the Commission by registering as Private Christian Pilgrimage Operator.

She explained that the Ministry would want to register as a Ground Handler with the Commission and had commenced the process with the Legal Unit of the Commission.

Hon. Justice Egbunine was accompanied on the visit by Pastor Joshua Johnson Oluah, the General Overseer of Yahweh Our Redeemer Sabbath Synagogue, Owerri as well as a member of trustee of the Ministry, Miss Abigail Egbunine.
